Communications Intern
IORA Ecological Solutions, based in New Delhi, India, is an environmental advisory firm founded in 2009. The company specializes in natural resource conservation, climate change mitigation, and adaptation. IORA implements nature-based solutions (NbS) to promote ecosystem conservation and climate action, working across various domains including forest management, climate policy advisory, remote sensing, and GIS solutions.
My time at IORA was nothing short of a calling realised. It was an informed dive into an interdisciplinary manifestation of climate concern, blending various fields to tackle pressing environmental issues. I was brought on board to join the communications wing of the firm, where my main role was to develop content for internal and external audiences. This allowed me to create compelling narratives and informative pieces showcasing IORA’s initiatives and mission. Seeing how my work could contribute to a larger cause was incredibly fulfilling.
I also had the opportunity to co-create and implement engagement strategies across digital and conventional media platforms. I was primarily involved in social media campaigns by designing, proofreading and enhancing content for clarity and consistency. This experience deepened my commitment to sustainability and shaped my professional journey profoundly.
Poetry
I have always harboured a special affinity for aesthetics, finding deep pleasure in the harmony and beauty of art, design, and literature. This innate appreciation for the creative world naturally extends to my love for poetry, where words revel in the elegance of language and the profound truths it reveals.
Poetry, with its exquisite balance of form and meaning, is my safe space.
